[KITlist-Tech] web designer (Mountain View, CA)

The Web Designer will be a key individual contributor within the marketing team, reporting to the Sr. Director, Internet Marketing. He / She will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Development and Products. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to translate marketing concepts into a compelling web site. This person must work effectively with cross-functional teams to drive projects.


Duties / Responsibilities:

- Manage the overall web site design, look and feel and associated style guides.
- Prepare wireframes, mockups, web page templates, interactive media and other graphical elements.
- Define standards for user interface, user experience, and web design within Egnyte.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking, analysis, and monitoring.
- Analyze web analytics data to continuously improve the web site.
- Conduct usability tests to ensure the web site provides a positive user experience.
- Ensure web site is optimized for search engines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
- 2 – 3 years of experience in designing B2B, B2C sites that generate leads and sell products online.
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, HTML, xHTML, CSS essential. Ability to handcode xHTML required (no WYSIWYG)
- Should be comfortable integrating Javascript and jQuery into web pages
- Experience with content management systems, mobile web site design & search engine optimization is a plus.
