Technical Writer

KNOWLEDGE and JOB DESCRIPTION:

•The ideal candidate enjoys new challenges, problem solving, a fast-paced environment, and participating in high-priority projects

•Experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures

•Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways

•Self-starter, independent thinker who works well in a fast-paced environment

•Superb organizational and time management skills

•Strong attention to detail

•Flexible–strong ability to adapt to change in priorities

•Project management experience preferred

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills including advanced spelling and grammar skills

•Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines

•Strong problem solving skills

•Create and maintain Documentation Control policies and procedures

•Create and maintain process work instructions

•Create and maintain wiki

JOB COMPLEXITY:

•Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires analysis and evaluation

•Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

•Interacts with senior internal and external personnel

SUPERVISION:

Normally receives little instruction on a day to day basis

EXPERIENCE:

•Minimum of 3-5 years of Technical Writing experience required

•Example of previous work is required

•Ability to work with cross-functional teams such as Engineering and Operations

•BA degree or equivalent experience

•Experience with PDM/PLM tools. Agile experience is preferred but not required

•Expertise in documentation control and change management best practices
