Senior Polishing Engineer
We seek a Senior Polishing Engineer for our client´s manufacturing facility in Illinois. Relocations assistance is available. This highly specialized polishing engineer's primarily focus is to provide Engineering Design solutions to optimize throughputs, minimize cost and maximize quality.
Primary Functions
· Develop state of the art polishing process of Aluminum Oxide Al2O3 material
· Optimize throughputs
· Optimize yields and eliminate re-work
· Improve product quality and optimize its distribution
· Constantly reduce consumables cost
· Conduct Engineering studies to constantly improve production efficiency
· Conduct Engineering studies to establish an effective maintenance program to eliminate un-scheduled shut down of manufacturing equipments.
· Effectively document process design and production work instruction
· Train and certify process engineers
· Provide meaningful method to validate design and approve new processes for manufacture
· Become expert and support process and metrology equipments
· Support in finding, correcting and documenting root cause of internal and customer quality issues
· Responsible to 'Prove-in' new equipment and processes
· Apply statistical tools and techniques for continuous process improvements and monitoring
Qualifications:
- MS or PHD in Material Science Engineering
- 10 – 15 years of experience in a related position
- Semi-conductor industry experience preferred
Skills and Flexibility:
- Proficiency in Auto-cad, MS word, Excel, Statistical Data analysis Software
- Good communication skill
