TITLE: Sr. Software Engineer/embedded wireless/MAC/PHY driver for UWB technology
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is a private company located in south San Jose. They are seeking a Sr. Software engineer strong in embedded wireless development. This position will engage in the definition, design and implementation of embedded system and application software for wireless video system products.
Specific Duties include:
Engaging in system software development including MAC/PHY driver for UWB technology and specific application functions.
Coding various RTOS routines and IP stack and validate real time software performance.
Debugging and performing diagnostic of the hardware and software integration and code optimizing for the wireless robustness and video quality performance.
Developing and debugging software support for manufacturing, test and field applications.
Writing documentation and providing technical supports to application and marketing engineers.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
BSEE / MSEE in Computer Science Engineering.
5 plus years developing embedded software on Linux or similar real time OS platform required.
Must have been involved in the implementation of wireless communication protocol and/or development of embedded software for the wireless communication chip-set.
Must have a good understanding of software design and tools, including C++, Visual Studio & Software revision control.
Must have experience with AV interface: HDMI and/or DVI and driver integration and optimization.
Must have knowledge of Video Codec and compression algorithm of H.264 and/or JPEG2000 is a plus.
Must have worked through all aspects of complete product cycle development including specifications, architecture, design, implementation, debugging, testing and release support.
Must have excellent problem solving skills and effective communication skills.
Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently.
