Provide network implementation of all data and voice network infrastructure including WAN, LAN, VoIP, Wireless in corporate data center and remote locations. Coordinate and execute implementation of network systems hardware and software, from standard design templates. Work in conjunction with Project management teams and Network Planning & Design and Network Support teams to provide turn-key technical solutions for network infrastructure. Provides third level troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement Cisco routing switching and VoIP infrastructure.
2. Coordinate business unit requirements gathering for design and implement specifications.
3. Design, build and implement networks to achieve high availability requirements.
4. Collect and analyze data about the performance and capacity of the network and its components, and make recommendations based on that.
5. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Education/Training – College degree preferable
Certifications preferred – CCNP or CCDA/CCDP/CCVP
Business Experience: 5+ years experience supporting a medium to large size, multi-site network. Demonstrate ability to design and implement complex Cisco data and VoIP networks. Experience in the use of network management tools, to detect and resolve network issues. Must have the ability to lead small implementation teams in the deployment of networks and problem resolution of complex network problems.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills required 5+ years in the following areas:
Knowledge of, and experience in designing, building and operating networks, with experience in the following technologies:
EIGRP and BGP. Ethernet switched LAN and 80.11 WLAN, SNMP, Spanning tree, CDP, and VTP.
T1, PRI, DS3 and fractional services, along with Frame relay, ATM, IPSec VPN and MPLS services.
QOS, MGCP and H323, Cisco AVVID services. Voip gateways and features.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, very reliable, hardworking and able to work independently. Candidate must be able to work occasional weekends and on after-hours projects.
Working Conditions:
Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) – Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Travel 20-30% - initially all travel will be local (between sites in area) – later in project may require overnight travel to domestic remote locations.
