We are looking for an experienced program manager with both an IT and process engineering background.
This contract position will be responsible for the planning and execution of strategic initiatives and divisional business process management standards, governance and execution.
The ideal candidate experience includes:
- Business process expertise at a strategic level.
- Technical background - ideally a QA, developer or similar background to liaise effectively with the IT on requirements, designs, issues.
- Experience managing direct reports and/or highly complicated matrixed teams - particularly BAs and/or technical resources.
- Experience designing and delivering effective executive level decision-making and /or ´sales´ presentations. Comfortable in the VP/C-suite.
- Experience with portfolio/program management including prioritization and resource allocation.
- Excellent communicator - able to provide clear, concise information, identify key messages, make sound business decisions, translate technology speak to business teams and business speak to technology teams.
- Very strong customer-orientation - keeping customer front and center at all times
- Healthcare background a plus
- Humor a plus - positive approach to work
- PMP, Six Sigma and other similar certifications not necessary -- looking for strong thinkers that understand methodology, yet can execute beyond its boundaries/rules to achieve a superior result
- Ability to inform, drive, support stakeholders, remain customer-focused, navigate bureaucracy, and have fun.
Projects this role will manage include:
- Database conversion and implementation
- Divisional portfolio management
- New process design and implementations
- New technology implementations
Role details include:
- San Francisco based -- no relocation will be provided
- Contract role - 40 hours per week - possible conversion to FTE
- Rate - competitive
- Reporting in to Senior-level leaders
- Highly visible role and initiatives
- Low/Some travel required – TBD
- Interviewing will begin in early February with an aim to start in mid-late February
