Senior Platform Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 Collaborate with cross functional team members to deliver innovative product features.
 Deliver full lifecycle feature development - requirements analysis, design and production code implementation with accompanying unit an integration tests.
 Prototype and assess new technologies and product concepts.
 Propose functional and non-functional requirements in order to deliver the appropriate technology solution.
 Participate in release, daily planning activities to align engineering efforts with business goals.
 Mentor senior and junior team members, assisting them with the implementation of chosen technologies.
 Provide hands-on coding expertise in a variety of platforms & languages to build the simplest solution that meets business needs.
Skills/Requirements
 Significant track record of providing technical leadership in the development of complex data collection system based on globally distributed mobile or fixed end devices.
 Proven effectiveness in mentoring senior and junior developers on production software and unit/integration test design and implementation.
 Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing software solutions that meet system performance goals.
 Expert in object-oriented design and enterprise application patterns.
 Strong knowledge of RDBMS and PL/SQL.
 Java and C++/C# hands-on coding expertise on both Windows and Linux platforms.
 Proficient in designing and developing platform SDK and web services.
 Demonstrated ability to rapidly absorb product knowledge with the end goal of being recognized as a product expert.
 10+ years experience defining, architecting and implementing complex systems software products.
 Software company & startup experience.
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 Experience with Software as a Service and Platform as a Service solutions models is a plus.
 High energy impact player with contagious passion for delivering innovative software solutions.
 Strong desire to be part of a fast paced start-up.
 Able to collaborate effectively in an Agile development organization with application developers, testers, documentation staff and product managers.
 Results oriented, focused on delivering value to the customer.
 Able to respond positively to change.
 Able to work as part of a self-organizing team in which you determine your tasks
on a daily basis in coordination with co-workers.
 Rapid and motivated self-learner and creative problem solver.
 Flexible in filing whatever role is required for team success.
 Open and transparent regarding work progress and impediments.
 Excellent decision making abilities.
Education
• Bachelor´s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
