QE Engineer needed for long term consulting project for a Fortune 500 client company. Pay rate $60-65/hr DOE.
** Local candidates with Local experience preferred **
Job Description:
Availability team is seeking a QE Engineer who will be responsible for testing current suite of Availability products. In this role you will work closely with development teams to coordinate the smooth integration of feature delivery into the product.
You will work at conceptual and code level to create practical, cost effective solutions for product QE. You will work closely with developers in design reviews and help ship high quality products. This requirement is primarily for a candidate with Java/related OO language automation experience.
Responsibilities:
- Actively involved in Automation framework including core libraries development using Java.
- Participate in design and code reviews to enhance the automation framework
- Test design, implementation, execution, debugging and automation using Java along with basic Windows/Linux system administration
- Analyze automated test results
- File bug reports and follow up on the problems until complete resolution
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Computer Science and 3-4 yrs of relevant industry experience
- Strong understanding of Windows/Linux operating systems/networking
- Proficiency in Java
- Broad technical knowledge of Operating system fundamentals (task scheduling, memory management)
- Familiarity with WSDL, SOAP, XML
- Basic systems administration (installing and configuring operating systems and hardware)
- Software development lifecycle
- Good software engineering practices
- Basic software design principles and understanding of OO design principles
- Excellent communication skills required
Desirable Experiences:
- Experience with Test NG highly desirable
- Experience with virtualization products
