Title: Program Manager
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6+ months contract, renewed quarterly
Role:
*This Program Manager will manages the web site governance strategy for portlets, Communities and implementation, including development of documentation on processes, policies and framework for governance.
*The PM facilitates alignment across the organization, identifies and prioritizes primary tracks of work for governance and opportunities for integration with other teams.
*Establish and manages relationships with stakeholders.
*Create and maintain cross functional roadmap and engagement process.
*Facilitates portfolio alignment.
*Assists in the coordination of strategy planning process.
Responsibilities:
*Manages Stakeholder relationships (e.g. identify and leverage stakeholders; clarifies expectations).
*Work with cross-functional teams from Channels, Marketing, Support and Commerce to understand business requirements and to develop strategic executable plans to resolve current and future governance needs.
*Create Roadmap (e.g. identify and prioritize projects and/or tracks of work and translate into integrated delivery schedule and timeline)
*Manage Project Delivery Process (e.g. drive project through methodology gates; track progress, identify, escalate, and resolve issues; recommend and ensure decisions)
*Manage Scope (e.g. analyze impacts to project, clarify dependencies, constraints, assumptions; evaluate and administer scope change requests)
*Champions the Customer and Partner experience.
Business Impact:
*Has ownership and final accountability for governance program results
*Anticipates and provides solutions to business stakeholders.
* A "team-oriented" personality that effectively balance a strong sense of urgency with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Influence:
*Influences strategic directions and decisions within business units
*Has ability to influence at the Executive, individual contributor and peer level
Leadership:
*Empowers the cross functional team and translates the vision into operational plans.
*Identifies how key decisions and developments impact Programs Innovates and takes risk by supporting cutting-edge approaches.
*Ability to both challenge and encourage in a constructive manner
Partners with other Program Managers to ensure program alignment with IT and Business Client objectives
*Ability to interface effectively with management at all levels in the organization, must have strong communication skills.
*Ability to work in an agile environment and manage ambiguity
Expertise:
*Minimum three years of web site experience and community management.
*Advanced understanding of the Internet and Internet business models
*Experience developing strategic plans for Internet projects
*Knowledge of web related technologies (i.e Content Management, Search, Analytics, Portal, Community) and user experience are required.
*Successfully planned and delivered programs using industry standard program methodologies.
*Bachelor´s required, Master´s preferred
*Minimum 5 years program management experience
*Analytical problem solving and business writing skills
*Strong skills related to meeting moderation and facilitation, actions agenda, team updates, info sharing and advocate stakeholder position.
