The Business Systems Analyst creates business and system specifications. They will collaborate with the client management and operations teams to ensure all requirements are met. This position reports to Application Development Manager or Sr. Application Development Manager. Candidates will be a part of the application development team for any internal or external application development projects.

Key Responsibilities
1. Participate in JAD sessions with cross functional groups resulting in clear customer, operations, and system requirement needs. Develop and understand end to end program flows. Work with the customer management team customers to understand business needs. Build relationships and partner with customer management, operations team, and/or other analysts to identify and facilitate the requirements gathering process. 30%
2. Evaluate and produce business/system design requirements that meet user needs. Plan, conduct, and direct the analysis of business and/or operational problems to be solved with automated systems/applications. Participate in requirements review sessions, incorporate feedback, and obtain needed approvals. Develop and understand end to end system flows. Perform impact analysis on changes. Assist with technical reporting requirements assessment. 35%
3. Assist with operational and production support for applications with strict adherence to customer SLA's. 20%
4. Participate in QA, application and peer code reviews. May assist with planning and executing unit, integration, functional and acceptance testing. Ensure strict adherence to the SDLC. 10%
5. Whenever applicable, work with assigned project manager to assist him/her on project planning and status reporting. Identify and communicate any appropriate project risks through appropriate channels. Demonstrate flexibility in meeting important customer deliverables.

Education and Training
Required - 4-year College Degree or Foreign equivalent in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Desired - Advanced Degree: Masters or foreign equivalent in Computer science or equivalent experience.

Required
• 5+ years of business requirements management and transcribing requirements into system specifications.
• 5+ years experience with designing and building system solutions and business applications.
• 5+ years with Use Case methodology concepts
• 5+ years of relational database concepts and SQL.
• Familiarity with reading Entity Relationships Diagrams.
• Strong Analytical skills.
• Understanding of data analysis and modeling concepts.
• Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process for developing business software solutions
• Understanding of the concept software application configuration and setup

Additionally Required
• Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
• Must be detail oriented and have analytical approach to solving business problems
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customer management and operation teams.
• Ability to conduct customer meetings in order to understand business needs and produce clear requirements.
• Exercise good judgment within defined standards and guidelines in ambiguous situations.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a medium and large team environment, multi-task to meet critical deliverable dates and strive for results.
• Exposure to UML methodology tools
• Working knowledge of MS Windows Office Product Suite (MS-Project, MS-Visio, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, and MS-Word).

Desired
• Call Center business Operations and Healthcare background a plus.
• Experience utilizing Use Case Methodology and/or other CASE tools.
• Familiar with system configuration concepts
• Familiarity with rules and workflow engine (i.e. iLog) a plus.

Environment
Candidate is expected to work in General office environment. Occasional travel may be required. Candidate may be asked to work overtime occasionally. They must be flexible for various project assignments whenever needed.
