Software Development Engineer Test- Mobile Team

We are focused on building a world-class retail and developer experience. The Testing Software Development Engineer along with the Quality Assurance team is responsible for the development and maintenance of manual and automated testing and test frameworks for teams in the A2Z organization. The successful candidate will be someone that likes break things, understand why and is able to jump right in and own the product.
Specifically, you will:
• Write test plans and design test cases
• Follow best practices; including a variety of different testing protocols and tools
• Perform black and white box testing
• Focuses on great automation
• Be challenged to solve complex problems
• Assure production code quality
• Work closely with the development team to assure test coverage
• Review part of the code for developing white box tests
We are located in Orange County, CA. A2Z Development Center is part of the Amazon.com, Inc. group of companies.
Basic Qualifications:
• 2-5 years experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer
• Experience developing high quality test plans and test cases
• Experience with code coverage, profiling, and performance/load testing
• Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Computer Science
• Experience with automation tools and scripting
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills and an ability to come up with creative solutions to impossible-to-solve problems
• Experience with SQL
• Past success with being a forward thinker and an advocate for the customer
• Extremely organized
• Proven past experience successfully handling triage
