Quality Assurance Manager- Mobile Team

We are focused on building a world-class retail and developer experience. The Quality Assurance Engineering team is responsible for the development and maintenance of manual and automated testing and test frameworks for teams in the A2Z organization. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for driving quality improvements throughout the organization.
Specifically, you will:
• Build tools and frameworks for automated testing.
• Develop functional and performance test plans and cases for complex applications and services.
• Drive improvements in software engineering practices across engineering teams.
• Own QA testing for application and service releases.
• Hire, retain and develop top-tier QA and test focused software development engineers.
• Manager QA Engineers, Testers, Support Engineers and Contractors
We are located in Orange County, CA. A2Z Development Center is part of the Amazon.com, Inc. group of companies.
Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience leading or managing Quality Assurance teams
• Experience developing high quality test plans and test cases
• Experience with functional, performance and stress testing.
• Experience developing testing automation tools and frameworks
• Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years experience in testing or development is desired.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills and an ability to come up with creative solutions to impossible-to-solve problems
• Experience with Oracle databases and SQL
• Experience with Javascript
• Past success with being a forward thinker and an advocate for the customer
