Web Developer – Business Systems
As a Tableau Web Developer, you will be responsible for the development and support of critical business systems applications. This role requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and you will need a thorough understanding of application development methodology. Tableau leverages multiple enterprise class solutions and is building out a team to leverage these tools as it continues is rapid global growth.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
+ Design, develop, implement and support online customer and partner portal solutions
+ Help expand our global footprint through the internationalization of our systems
+ Develop proficiency with Tableau´s critical 3rd party applications and apply technical skills and research abilities to enable system integration, data management / sharing and optimal configuration of applications
+ Team with Sales, Marketing and Customer Support to develop solutions in support of the distribution and support of Tableau Software products and services
+ Clearly communicate project status to key stakeholders throughout entire development process
+ Create comprehensive technical system documentation and provide training to staff
+ Identify system deficiencies and recommends solutions
+ Other related duties as assigned
Required Knowledge and Experience
+ 5+ years building web-based and/or business systems applications with a solid understanding of HTML, XML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, and programming languages, such as Java, Python, or PHP
+ Understanding of REST & SOAP web-based services, understanding of WSDL interpretation, generation and consumption
+ Ability to learn on the fly and passion for solving challenging business problems
+ Experience using enterprise business tools such as Salesforce, Netsuite, Drupal and Flexera a plus
+ Experience implementing solutions to support SaaS & SSO solutions
+ Enjoy working with and learning about different areas of the organization to develop more effective solutions
+ Strong organizational skills and good communication, verbal and written skills
+ Expertise in both Windows and Linux environments
Qualifications
+ BSCS or equivalent
+ Salesforce DEV 401 and DEV 501 certifications a plus
Working Conditions
+ Working conditions are normal for an office environment
+ Ability to sit for moderate periods of time working on a computer
+ Ability to wear telephone headset
