Job # 140651: Sr. Software Game Development Engineer/Game Engineer- Android

Do you want to develop games on emerging platforms using the coolest new software and services?
If so, join our A2Z Research and Development's Game Studio as we imagine, realize, and develop games that will shape the future of interactive media. Our roadmap has several innovative and exciting things that will challenge you! The Game Studio is an agile team made up of only the brightest engineers, artists, producers and designers in the industry. We are developing games on Android, iPhone, Kindle, and other emerging platforms. We are continually developing new projects in an exciting space!
We are looking for a Sr. Software Game Development Engineer who at times will be pair programming, at others willll be counted on to deliver on your own. The ideal candidate will have a true passion for new technologies and will not be afraid to take responsibility.
What we are looking for?
• Strong Engineers to help us execute on our vision and who have a real passion for games and technology.
• Industry-leading technical abilities demonstrating a breadth and depth of technical knowledge.
• A history of success collaborating with a team of designers, programmers and artists to develop smart solutions to difficult problems
• Ability to ensure that the games we develop deliver a world-class experience

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience
• 5+ years' experience writing high quality, maintainable, and robust code in Java or C++
• Successful Game Development on the Android hand-held platform
• Solid OOP/OOD concepts, this should be second nature
• Successful game development experience in a short development cycle environment
• Ability to work in ambiguous environment
• Ability to work in ambiguous environment

Preferred Qualifications:
• Game Development Experience for mobile devices
• Strong generalist coder with some experience developing in Flash
• Strong Independent Contributor
• Ability to lead through example and ability to "wear many hats"
