The Service Routing Technology Group (SRTG) delivers best-in-class enterprise (Fortune 1000) and small to medium business (SMB) routing with one of Cisco´s most popular products - the Integrated Services Router (ISR). As a leader in the core market with 85% market share and continued growth in adjacent markets, SRTG has extended the routing business into value-added network services and business applications by integrating various technologies into the ISR. Today, router-integrated services and applications span different technology domains (security, IP telephony, collaboration, video, etc.) as well as vertical applications for retail, healthcare, finance, etc. Identifying, integrating, and delivering compelling new technologies for the ISR is a key strategic driver of growth.

About this Job: Senior Product Manager - Security
There is no comprise when it comes to security. Whether its enabling application privacy end to end in customer networks, or providing solutions for preventing costly virus infections, drive by downloads or distributed denial of service attacks, security is always top of mind. The Secure-Router market is a fast growing market, expected to grow to $1.4B by 2014. As a product manager in a multifaceted business savvy security technology group, you excel in demonstrating business and go to market strategies that helps grow Cisco in this market

As a successful candidate you will have the privilege in working with leading edge security solutions that integrate into Branch office, Managed Services Service Provider, and Retail product lines, world wide. Candidates will gain considerable experience in various leading edge VPN technologies, as well Threat Defense technologies e.g., Anti-virus, Anti-Spam, Firewall & Intrusion Prevention Systems.

In this role you will: conduct market research and competitive analysis, asses customer needs, define new product vision and value proposition, recommend a business model for emerging technology, define partner strategy and positioning, deliver an actionable marketing plan, and present strategic and tactical recommendations to the business unit´s executive team.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
• Develop and own security technology strategies.
• Develop security business model requirements and plan roadmaps through direct customer
interaction, market research, quantitative opportunity sizing, competitive analysis, and by working with
the sales force.
• Manage and lead cross‐functional business relationship for development of new security software and service capabilities on ISR product lines.
• Partner with sales on pricing, market development, field solutions, and competitive selling to support
customer deals and drive sales.
• Manage product lifecycle including tracking customer wins, upcoming deals and presenting product
bookings and forecasts at monthly business unit review meetings.
• Prepare and execute on go‐to‐market plans, including pricing, sales training, and marketing.
• Creating and delivering all aspects of key outbound marketing collateral including; data sheets writtenvand video, product announcements, newsletters, datasheets, product presentations for business and technical decision makers, positioning, end‐of‐sales, content for webinars and other outbound marketing events
• Present product and roadmap updates at various venues including industry trade shows, Sales Virtual Meetings, Enterprise Technical Advisory Boards and customer executive briefings.
About You:
• 5‐10 years of prior experience in product management, specializing in security.
• In depth knowedge of security technology
• Cisco IOS experience highly desireable
• Demonstrate Security industry (retail/banking, etc) awareness and trends. Experience managing and/or
developing software business models in a software or networking firm.
• Proven business and analytical skills to conduct market analysis, product strategy, product definition,
competitive analysis, product pricing, and forecasting.
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to formulate and deliver highly complex presentations
to a business or technical audience.
• High energy, a willingness to work in a fast‐paced environment and demonstrated ability to meet or
beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently
• Have a BSEE/CS or equivalent. A Masters degree and/or MBA are highly valued.
• Must be willing to travel up to 25%
