We seek a PHP developer for our Silicon Valley client This position will create web portal and services to help build a new high performance web infrastructure from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to make a significant contribution at a fast-growing company with the financial backing of a Global 500 company. The successful candidate´s background includea:
Experience in PHP development including a proficient knowledge of the PHP object model.
Must be comfortable working in a LAMP stack and the Linux command line.
Must have excellent SQL skills, preferably with MySQL. Experience doing query optimization is a plus.
Must be familiar with version control systems like SVN, CVS or GIT.
Experience with branching/merging is a plus.
Should have experience using an MVC framework, preferably with Zend Framework.
Helpful to have experience creating and consuming RESTful web services.
Helpful to have experience working in a test-driven environment. Prior PHPUnit experience is a plus.
Should have experience working in an Agile work environment. Experience with JIRA is a plus.
Experience with ActiveMQ, Memcache, MongoDB, OAuth, Solr or MySQL tuning is a plus.
Experience with cloud computing and/or a deep interest in cloud computing is a plus
Required Skills:
8+ years experience in Software Development.
Must have at least 4 years of experience using PHP 5.X
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Must have excellent OOP/OOD skills/experience including strong understanding of Design Patterns as well as Anti-design patterns
Must be able to work with the QA department to identify, track and resolve bugs.
Must be a quick learner and able to strive under minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Should possess a desire to learn and/or research new software and technologies.
Must be able to work with a large team and effectively communicate in a fast paced environment
