We seek a senior hardware design engineer for our San JOse, CA client. This is an exciting opportunity to developing hand held products for automating workflows. You will work closely with our client´s ODM partners to design our next generation of devices and accessories.
Responsibilities:
Research emerging technologies in displays, batteries and low power high performance processors
Provide concept system designs for evaluation by our ODM manufacturing partners
Provide constructive feedback on designs from our ODM manufacturing partners
Manage multiple contractors and ODM partners in product development
Review and develop test plans for product reliability
Conduct and supervise long term reliability testing
Support ODM partners in the design and verification phase of product development
Review Support/Service information data on failures, repairs, frequencies, customers, etc.
Provide technical support to the 3rd party repair center.
Experience with EPD type displays and OMAP processors is a plus.
Requirements:
7-10 years of hardware design experience
3-5 years of system design experience
MSEE/BSEE or equivalent
Have brought several microprocessor based products to market
Ability to travel to Asia manufacturing sites
