The Replication Product Manager is a high-impact position responsible for defining and driving strategic Storage and Replication product initiatives and partnerships.
As Replication Product Manager the successful candidate will own and execute the product management functions related to Storage and Replication including feature and release definition and prioritization, communication of features and value propositions to the Sales team, and technical communication to the Systems Engineering and Technical Support teams. The successful candidate will work closely with Business Development and key technical partners to explore, define, and refine our position in the Data-Center to Data-Center Storage and Replication ecosystem.

Position Responsibilities
• Lead and communicate the strategy/definition/prioritization of our Storage and Replication product and partnership initiatives.
• Define strategies to augment or better position ourproducts in the Data-Center Storage and Replication space. This includes but is not limited to delivery of Feature Requirements Document(s), PowerPoint content, and detailed requirements analysis.
• Own and maintain the primary technical interface to relevant technology partners like EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, NetApp, Brocade, and Dell. Define and drive technical integration initiatives with these partners.
• Become the Subject Matter Expert for Storage and Replication within our company. Own and deliver all technical communication to the Engineering and Sales teams related to Storage and Replication including best practices, interoperability, competitive positioning, and TCO/ROI analysis.
• Produce content for User Documentation, Marketing collateral, and TOI (Transfer of Information) to Systems Engineering and Technical Support.
• Represent usat key customer events including high level meetings, seminars, trade shows, etc.
• Collaborate on competitive marketing analysis to identify and analyze competitive threats (companies, technologies) in the Storage and Replication space and develop appropriate recommendations and strategies to counter, including attack/defend collateral, talking points, pricing or commercial strategies and product/feature/technology recommendations.

Relevant Experience
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science or Business; advanced degree a plus.
• Experience in Technical Marketing, Systems Engineering, Product Line Management, or Development Engineering.
• In-depth experience with existing Storage and Replication product offerings from vendors such as EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, NetApp, Brocade, or IBM, including SAN/NAS offerings and replication/backup products such as SRDF, SnapMirror, Universal Replicator, and GlobalMirror.
• Extensive knowledge of Enterprise customer requirements for mission critical data center Storage and Replication solutions.
• Executive level communication and negotiation skills. Excellent customer relations and technical leadership skills are a must.
• Ability to orchestrate multiple virtual resources to manage project deliverables, coordinate cross-functional projects, and to work in a multi-task environment across organizational boundaries, and drive resolution on daily product/project issues.
• Availability for occasional domestic and international travel, up to 25% of time.
• Ability to competently interact with customers at a number of organizational levels and to evangelize products and architecture.
• Ability to develop and articulate business rational in support of product and/or partnership initiatives.
