Responsibilities
• Lead a team of engineers to partner with Product Management, QA, and web development teams to architect, design, and implement Consumer payment solutions you can brag about.
• Work with Product Management to identify business requirements and design product specifications.
• Create/maintain high• level and detailed technical design documents, and conduct design reviews with our worldwide teams.
• Employ technical expertise in helping team members overcome technical challenges.
• Implement new features using Java, C++ and Oracle SQL in an Apache/Linux environment.
• Maintain and enhance existing product capabilities.
Job Requirements
8+ years of practical experience designing and implementing large, scalable, fault tolerant ecommerce applications. Demonstrated track record (3+ years) in technical leadership implementing large ecommerce applications.
• Expert problem-solving skills and a passion for debugging and problem investigation are a must.
• Expert level Java (and C++) skills are required with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
• Expert level of SQL skills are required with demonstrated ability to tune and optimize database queries.
• Experience with automated unit and system test strategies and frameworks.
• Experience in current ecommerce technologies and software management tools.
• Preferred experience developing secure, high volume, transactional software products.
• Strong understanding and command of OOA & OOP practices, UML is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Expertise in requirements analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant, customer-engaging Java online applications in UNIX environments
• Working knowledge of Oracle database, UML, WSDL, MVC, Spring, Java script, AJAX
• Experience with application servers
• Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
