[KITlist-Tech] Sr. Data Path Engineer, networking, subsystems, QoS (San Jose, CA)

seeking a senior software engineer to join our growing engineering team. As a key member of our data path software team, you will be responsible for the networking infrastructure subsystems and higher-layer data processing features.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing, developing, and documenting networking-related features. Other responsibilities include assisting and technical support personnel with field deployment, and participating in design/code reviews.

Requirements:

Minimum 7 years of C/C++ development experience designing and developing mission critical, high-availability systems in Linux/Unix environment
Minimum 5 years of Linux/Unix kernel programming experience specializing on Layer 2 and TCP/IP networking stacks
Knowledge of QoS (Quality of Service) subsystems such as traffic shaping, admission control, queuing management, etc.
Ability to design and specify new software features from the ground up; experience in a complete development cycle and a release of at least one commercial product
Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills; creative problem-solving and independent technical decision making capabilities
BS in CS, EE, Mathematics or other related areas required
