Title:- Business Analyst - Enterprise Search
Job Description:-
This Business Analyst position is for a project which involves a rearchitecture and redesign of Customer Support Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, documenting, analyzing and testing the implementation of business requirements relating to this new Enterprise Search application. This person in this role will work closely with a global team of Business Stakeholders, Enterprise Search Program Managers, Project Managers and Architects to validate that the solution design and delivery meet the business requirements.
Essential Functions:
With a moderate level of direction from the project manager related activities include, but will not be limited to:
•Collaborating with IT and cross functional stakeholders on implementation activities as laid out in the project plan
•Participating in design review sessions with IT.
•Validating design decisions with key business stakeholders
•As needed, communicating information regarding search integration to the other areas of the project with business owners of those affected areas
•Preparing User Acceptance Tests
•Reviewing Test plans and scenarios with IT and QA
•As appropriate, coordinating UAT testing with search stakeholders
•Performing UAT testing.
.Reporting and tracking defects. Assisting in troubleshooting/resolution of functional issues if possible. Retesting as necessary.
•Assisting with preparation of communication and training materials related to the eSearch launch.
Job Requirements:
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•3-5 years of prior experience in a similar role
•3 years Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst experience
•Able to work independently and within tight timelines
•Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
•Ability to work collaboratively and work with a team of other business analysts and cross functional peers to meet deadlines
•Ability to work with a minimal amount of direct supervision
•Previous experience implementing or supporting a Search engine against web based applications is highly desired.
•Familiarity with HP Quality Center desirable
Location:- Sunnyvale, CA
Duration:- 7+ Months
