[KITlist-Tech] CONTR: Software Engineer (Silcon Valley, CA)

OTM in search of a Software Engineer for Fortune 500 Client Company. Pay rate $45-55/hour DOE.

**Local candidates with local experience preferred**

Responsibilities:
- Test design, implementation, execution, debugging and automation using Java along with basic Windows and Linux system administration
- Track bugs related to the group and escalate bugs to engineering as needed
- Propose and Participate in design and code reviews to enhance feature*testability
- Analyze automated test results

Requirements:
- Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science
- Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems/networking
- Experience testing and releasing enterprise level network products
- Experience testing and releasing enterprise level shrink wrapped*software products
- Ability to multitask and manage time on several concurrent tasks
- Proficiency in Core Java, OOD, data Structure and algorithms
- Broad technical knowledge including:
- Operating system fundamentals (task scheduling, memory management)
- Familiarity with virtualization products
- Familiarity with WSDL, SOAP, REST, XML
- Basic systems administration (installing and configuring operating*systems and hardware)
- Software development lifecycle
- Good software engineering practices
- Excellent software design principles
- Excellent communication skills required

Desirable Experiences:
- Knowledgeable in Perl/python
