JOB DESCRIPTION
Do you have a passion for creating effective content? Do you have a gift for describing complex technical concepts in layman´s terms? Are you driven to win? As Technical Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating and communicating the Agiliance value proposition in various technical forms, including live and online demonstrations, best practices guides, application notes, how-to videos, and thought leadership articles. As a member of the Agiliance Products team, the Technical Marketing Manager will be responsible for writing industry white papers, developing customer presentations, and articles promoting the Agiliance platform´s capabilities and how they meet and exceed customer / market expectations. At the same time, the Technical Marketing Manager will orchestrate the company´s creation of technical documentation (user-, administrator-, and partner-facing) and training materials, backed by a small team of tech writers in India. The successful candidate will have tremendous opportunity for career growth and is a great chance for someone who wants to get their foot in the door of a growing, venture-backed, high-tech company. The Technical Marketing Manager will work closely with the Products group, Marketing Communications, and Sales and report directly to the Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Products, and Support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Develop the sales tools (e.g., brochures, cheat sheets, beat sheets, application notes, white papers, case studies, product demos, videos, and customer presentations) that support the selling process of the company´s products.
•Lead the creation of technical documentation (e.g., user´s guide, quick start guide, best practices guides) and training material for a variety of audiences (end users, administrators, service partners), leveraging a small team of tech writers in the company´s India subsidiary.
•Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team, channel partners, and prospects.
•Provide day-to-day support for key technology initiatives and activities, including articles, creating PowerPoint slides, producing videos, and analyzing survey results.

REQUIREMENTS

Prior Experience
•3+ years of technical communications or technical documentation experience in an enterprise application software company.
•Worked in a start-up or high growth environment.
•Technical acumen in areas of application software; experience with enterprise security, regulatory controls, IT risk management, governance, and compliance a plus.
Skills
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to audiences ranging from technologists to executives.
•Highly organized, self-directed business style, with strong ability to prioritize.
•Must work well in a team, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
•Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third-parties in a way that both informs and inspires.
Attitudes
•Highly self-motivated and driven to succeed.
•Team player with strong sense of urgency.
•Flexible and willing to do "what it takes" to help the company getting the job done.
•Candidates with high energy, a responsive attitude, and a desire for success will be given preference.
•Willingness to hold Skype calls or WebEx sessions with tech writers in India a couple of times a week to coordinate the team´s efforts.
•Some travel required (10%).
Education
•Bachelor´s degree required; MBA a plus.

LOCATION

The position is based in the Agiliance headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA, conveniently located in walking distance to downtown, Caltrain, and VTA.

COMPENSATION

Your compensation package will be consistent with the stage of the company and the individual´s track record. Compensation will include cash component (base and variable), benefits, and equity.
