Web Developer/Senior Front End Engineer

Under the direction of Engineering, the Web Developer/Senior Front End Engineer will work closely with Product Management and Marketing to translate rough design concepts into working solutions, establish consistency, and optimize user experience.

Minimum requirements include the ability to write front-end code in Python, Lighttpd, Cherrypy, HTML/CSS, and should also have experience working with some or all of the following frameworks :

· PHP

· Ruby on Rails

· ASP.net

· Java, JSP

You should also have experience working with:

· HTML

· CSS

· Javascript

· JQuery Libraries

The ideal candidate will also have server experience and will have worked pulling expert pages together and/or building data models and figuring out how to call the db/talk to the services layer. (In other words the successful candidate has not only built apis, but knows how to use them to implement applications)

· Some expertise with C# components or java servlets is also desirable

· Ability to collaborate with an exceptional team of engineers


Qualifications


· Demonstrable experience building a world-class, consumer web application

· Excellent programming skills in Java, Python, or PHP

· Thorough understanding of HTML and CSS

· Good understanding of client-side Javascript and AJAX

· Experience with social network APIs (Facebook, Twitter, ...)

· Good understanding of MVC

· Good command of one or more web templating languages

· Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance

· Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser

·compatibility.

· Good understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTTP, REST )

· Knowledgeable foundation in interaction design principles

· Able to excel in fast-paced environment.
