[KITlist-Tech] Sr. Build / Release Engineer (Silicon Valley, CA)

Hello -

I need strong Linux experience with this role, as well as excellent tools development experience.

Build and Release Engineer

We are looking to hire an experienced, self-motivated build/release engineer. You will architect and implement the build and release system and provide world class tools to our development and quality assurance teams. Your mission is to maximize developer productivity through reliable, repeatable, automated builds, automated build verification and established best practices.

If you have experience defining and implementing build systems for complex products that include embedded devices and web infrastructure, we would like to hear from you.

Required Experience
• 6+ years of build/release engineering
• Debian or Ubuntu packaging and repositories
• Building embedded Linux distributions, including root filesystems
• Familiarity with git version control
• Familiarity with gcc toolchain, including cross-compilation
• Scripting languages (e.g. Shell, Python, Perl)

Preferred Experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience building automated test frameworks
• Experience with continuous integration
• Strong Linux background
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
