Title: Interaction Designer
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 3 mos+
Immediate need for an Interaction designer with the following skills:
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA in Design, HCI or related degree
5+ years of experience designing Web-based application user interfaces
Experience in writing UX specifications and guidelines
Experience in data visualization
Excellent written communication skills to transform wireframes and Photoshop images into detailed written specifications with enough depth of interaction details
Excellent time-management, multi-tasking ability, and the ability to prioritize
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team
RESPONSIBILITIES
Define project approach and user experience strategy for Services applications
Develops a design to satisfy business and user targets for specified measures.
Structures, writes, and edits entire documents with little guidance
Creates specifications for use by technical team members
Leads competitive audit and heuristic evaluation efforts
Documents use cases/business flows
Develops information architectures
Provides expert forms design, navigation design, and page layout
Creates prototypes or works with interface developer and designer to create prototypes
Creates presentation materials
Refines User Experience Architecture and design direction based on usability testing
Identifies relevant aspects of a design to be prototyped for user evaluation, includes all elements of the design which have key user measures.
Demonstrates expert, consistent time management and calendar management.
Sets appropriate goals for meetings and interactions, and ensures those goals are met, including keeping discussions focused and on track, that action items are tracked and resolved, minutes are taken.
Facilitate project communication across multi-disciplinary team throughout all phases of project.
Demonstrates expertise in clear, concise interpersonal communications
Prepares and delivers large portions of presentations
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
