Responsibilities:
--Work with the business users in understanding business reporting needs, gathering requirements and documenting requirement and functional specifications.
--Deliver interactive online business intelligence reports using MySQL5.0 and related tools.
--Leading the design and implementation of reports and dashboard to fulfill Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and Executive reporting needs.
--Participate in the implementation of business intelligence strategy and initiatives and come up with solutions
--Participate in the testing and deployment of database code to QA and Production, managing database source code and scripts and updating and maintaining data models.
--Work independently without much supervision
Requirements:
5+ Years Crystal Reports 2008
5+ Years of Business Objects
3+ of Universe & WEBI Development
1+ of Xcelsius
5+ Years of Extensive SQL work preferably MySQL/SQL Server
Reports Design/Perfomance Tuning/Analysis/Upgrade
Data Analysis/Analytics
1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or related field
2. 5+ years hands-on experience with MySQL and Data Warehouse environments.
3. Hands-on experience in building enterprise reports with major professional report building software packages such as Crystal Report, Business Objects, Hyperion BRIO, Oracle Discoverer etc.
4. Must have a high comfort level with report terminology and concepts such as drill-down, roll-up, aggregation, etc.
5. Hands-on experience designing, scripting, and tuning report queries using MYSQL syntax.
6. Experienced in enterprise level report deployments, upgrades, conversions and operations.
7. Project experience building reports with a professional and custom report building software packages.
8. Familiarity with object oriented programming and technologies such as C#, XML and/or web services is a plus. Hands on experience and knowledge of modern data warehousing principles and practices a plus.
