User Interface Designer

You must also be comfortable with the pace and demands of a high growth company: this isn't a 9 to 5 job.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordination with the product management team to develop a shared vision of products and then lead a process to define the user experience.
• Produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final graphics.
• Develop design guidelines, patterns, and libraries.
• Perform metrics analysis to inform design/UX optimization.

• Experience designing for web and mobile devices
• Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, and graphic design
• Familiar with AJAX user interface design
• Ability to write custom HTML and CSS
• Experience using standard design tools, e.g., Photoshop, Fireworks, Visio or Omnigraffle, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and HTML/CSS.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated success working alone or in small teams and working with engineers, product managers, and marketing managers
• Fluent in Business English
• Knowledge of JavaScript is a plus
• Cartographic design is a plus
• Experience with agile/scrum is a plus
Experience:
• We require 5+ years professional experience as an interactive designer/user experience designer with expertise in both information architecture and visual design.
• 4+ years professional experience with mass-market consumer electronics/web/mobile products; experience with handheld consumer electronics products a plus.
• 1+ years experience as a Lead/Senior creative contributor.
• We prefer a Bachelor's Degree in design or a related field.
