Job Description:
We are engaged by a San Francisco startup that believes in an interactive gaming future. They see a future where connected games will be applied to all types of digital interactions, and played by all types of people on a multitude of platforms. Using cutting edge data analysis techniques, they are building a digital marketing platform to enable game publishers to predictively target players on a 1-1 basis. Their system presents exciting challenges such as scaling machine learning, processing large datasets in the cloud, and real time data insight. They are laying the groundwork for a future of adaptive, personalized gaming experiences, all powered by their next-generation data analytics platform.
Our client´s team is made up of smart, pragmatic entrepreneurs and technologists coming from diverse professional and academic backgrounds. Located in the heart of San Francisco's vibrant SoMa district.
The responsibilities of this role include:
● Work with senior engineers to build data processing software in Java for analyzing terabytes of data in the cloud
● Design, build, and maintain a real-time API for data collection and ad serving
● Build key components of an auction/decision system with bidding, quality analysis and accounting
● Work on all aspects of software development including design, implementation, testing, deployment, tuning, and monitoring
● Support and troubleshoot cloud-based backend data processing infrastructure
● Interact with customers to integrate the product with their games and applications
Required Skills:
Candidate´s background:
● BS in Computer Science
● A solid foundation in Computer Science, particularly data structures, data processing, object-oriented programming, and software design
● Demonstrable sharp problem solving skills
● Excellent communications skills
● Expertise in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
● Experience with SQL, JavaScript, Android, iOS, or Python a bonus
● Aptitude and passion for Big Data and distributed/parallel
systems.
