International Consulting Group Marketing (www.icgmarcom.com), located in Silicon Valley, is seeking a well-qualified Product Marketing Manager with a solid technical understanding of relational database technologies.

Offsite/Onsite Flexibility: Requires 20-40% onsite work but overall is flexible.
Compensation: Competitive base pay, benefits, and options.

Description:
Our client markets database software solutions to enable big data analytics, business intelligence, and data warehousing. This is an opportunity to make key contributions to the core marketing team and requires broad relational database technical knowledge. The PM will be responsible for all aspects of positioning and promotion for the company's solutions. Must be adept at working from a home office and be able to work at the Silicon Valley office about 1 -2 days per week. Reports to the V.P. of Marketing.

Requirements:
• 4+ years product marketing, and/or product management, and/or technical marketing, experience

• 3+ years end to end, strategic on through to tactical execution experience with relational databases

• Track record owning product messaging and positioning, and analyzing competitive landscape

• Act as SME and content provider for presentations, collateral including white papers, datasheets, education tech briefs, and web sites, online demos, social blogs, twitter, etc.

• Ability to evangelize solutions across 3rd party forums, webinars, trade shows, thought leader videos and podcasts

• Proven experience with sales enablement: Sales deal support, training/education, and content/tools

• Ability to influence cross functionally to meet objectives

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

• Solid organizational and project management skills

• Hadoop experience a plus

• Work experience from SAP, Oracle, Sybase or similar domain experience at smaller companies i.e. ParAccel, Vertica, Greenplum, Infobright, NoSQL highly desirable

• Technical Bachelor degree CS, IT, or similar. MBA a plus
