[KITlist-Tech] Senior Network Engineer (Mountain View, CA)

Intermedia.net, Inc. is looking for an experienced, creative, and responsible network engineer to play a key role in our Network Engineering team at the premier provider of cloud services to small and mid-sized businesses. The company's proprietary cloud infrastructure assures high reliability, and Intermedia also empowers thousands of partners – including managed service providers and select Fortune 500 companies – to sell cloud services under their own brand. The company has offices in Mountain View, New York, and St. Petersburg (Russia).

You should have a strong understanding of networking as it relates to a large virtualized SaaS platform.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build and enhance a network to support our cloud SaaS platform.
• Troubleshoot and be a skilled escalation point for Support to help solve customer problems.
• Research, configure, and deploy new switches, routers, load-balancers, firewalls, etc.
• Support continued expansion/configuration within currently installed infrastructure.
• Optimize, monitor, and document the network.

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE:
• Extensive experience with Catalyst 6500 platform, Nexus platform, FWSM/ASA, ACE, WAN Accelerators
• At least two years' experience in a 24x7, always-on, operations environment
• Experience working at a hosted, geographically diverse environment

PREFERRED TO ALSO HAVE:
• Experience with OSPF and multi-homed, multi-site, BGP
• Extensive experience with VLANs and 802.1q
• Experience supporting network requirements for VMWare environments
