User Experience Designer (UX) - $125-150/hr. depending on experience
Required Skills:
• Highly innovative and able to design a user interface that simplifies the users experience
• An eye for creating simple, easy-to-use interfaces for web sites with a rich and complex set of features
• Able to design for both enterprise and mass market adoption
• Strong knowledge of interaction design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to web/mobile/social products
• Ability to understand customer needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into actionable deliverables
• Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong self-management skills and the ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team
• An ardent belief that better work is done through collaboration and iteration
• A belief in the importance of prototyping, an ability to lead and deliver prototypes at various levels of fidelity
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
• BS/BA in Design or related degree preferred
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
• Minimum Bachelor´s degree in design, human computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
• Expert understanding of methods for designing easy to use interfaces in a variety of web-based and mobile formats including social applications
• Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Visio, Balsamiq, Flash/Flex, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and Adobe Creative Suite
• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions is a requirement for application
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with both B2B and high-volume B2C on web and mobile devices
• Experience designing for social applications that enable and encourage user referrals and collaboration
