Linux/ Unix Systems Engineer/ Administrator
12 months contract
Cupertino, CA
Able to provision, maintain, diagnose, and troubleshoot systems infrastructure and network.. Virtual Machines (Xen/VMWare) provisioning and administration.
Build and configure new Linux systems
- Troubleshoots and resolves hardware and operating system problems
- - Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and perform system backup and recovery
Complete appropriate validation processes as required with minimal deviations or discrepancies
Some Unix shell scripting
Experience: at least 5 years of system design and configuration of clustered web applications and database systems.
Experience in managing large scale, enterprise or large commercial applications
Solid understanding of a UNIX-based operating system including paging and swapping, inter-process communication
