Position Overview

This role is critical to our aggressive growth strategy. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and supporting customer technical requests for all business and sales activities in your sales region. The Sales Engineer will report to the North American Sales Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

* Provide technical support of software products to sales team, prospective customers, and business partners
* Present software applications/solutions to prospective clients
* Create customized product demonstration for prospects
* Help the sales team increase sales by providing technological support (e.g. technical questions, designs, customer trials, demos, etc.)
* Gather and analyze prospect data to recommend a solution to meet prospect requirements against their defined objectives
* Identify customer technical pains and needs in order to isolate and target a specific solution selling strategy
* Conduct Proof of Concept engagements tailored to customer requirements
* Assist with responses to RFPs and RFIs for prospects
* Work with sales team to help qualify newly developed sales opportunities
* Articulate organization's project methodology
* Understand the client/prospects needs and ease concerns a prospect may have about using DotNetNuke



Required Skills and Experience

* 3-5 years relevant DotNetNuke experience or 5 years' experience in content management
* Must have a solid understanding of .NET technology and web hosting
* Bachelor´s Degree in a business or computer-related field
* Demonstrated ability to define customer requirements and deliver results exceeding those requirements
* Must have experience interacting with clients, as you will be meeting with customers (via telephone, GoToMeeting or face to face) to understand their current technical environment, key business issues/drivers, and technology requirements
* Experience in the delivery of complex technical and sales oriented presentations
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Must understand and be responsive to customer needs, work under tight deadlines, quickly learn new technologies, and work independently
* Highly motivated with excellent work ethic, energy, initiative and a team attitude
* Project confidence and knowledge in CMS systems, solutions, and industry
* Strong desire to succeed and be the best and diligent about seeing a prospect/client succeed
* Excellent follow up skills
* Must be comfortable and knowledgeable enough to discuss numerous technologies
