The Sage Group is seeking an Engagement Project Manager to work for a leading virtualization software company on the Peninsula. This person will work in their Center of Excellence managing the knowledge exchange engagements and programs between our client and its partners, aligning internal capacity with demand expressed by each organization.
CONTRACT: Engagement Project Manager, Center of Excellence - 5642
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide project management support to knowledge exchange events conducted for field and partners: address venue selection, event attendance, surveys, and other success metrics.
- Coordinate with global and regional field enablement, partner readiness, engineering, customer support, and operations teams to ensure everyone is aligned.
- Document the knowledge exchange process, best practices, feedback, and future requests to enable the client to continually raise the bar for hands-on training delivered.
- Provide creative ideas and solutions to address problems.
- Become an acknowledged spokesperson on the requirements and issues associated with building and delivering this client solution through various programs.
- Actively identify business and technical opportunities that may impact future opportunities and keep the appropriate stakeholders informed.
Skills Required:
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably with some familiarity with a professional services firm, IT software, or management consulting company
- 2+ years of experience managing and planning large technical training programs
- Knowledge of formal project management tools such as MS Project and Visio
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills regarding technical and project management issues with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of internal and partner organizations to ensure successful class delivery and review
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to document best practices and methodologies
Skills Preferred:
- PMP certification
