The Product and Customer Quality Engineer is an instrumental member of the Global Quality team who develops quality plans to deliver high reliability product to customers, leads failure modes analysis, root cause and corrective actions for customer issues, drives improvement changes and prepares data and information for internal and external reviews.
Responsibilities for the key role include:
*Provides effective cross-functional management of identified quality issues through failure modes analysis, root cause determination and corrective and preventive action implementation.
*Responsible for execution of defined quality improvement methods for emerging trends to potential quality, reliability or customer satisfaction issues.
*Determines, recommends and implements changes to improve the system, product or processes coordinating cross-functionally as appropriate.
*Utilizes statistical data from design testing, manufacturing process and field performance to support product quality and reliability improvement actions.
*Key contributor of Customer Quality interface including Escalated Accounts program.
*Prepares and executes customer quality reviews, various pre- and post-sales support including review and suggestions to relevant contract and bids and proposals review.
*Contributes to new product introduction by creating and deploying Quality Plans for new hardware, software, systems and services delivery.
*Demonstrates high-level familiarity with homologation including supporting agency audits, third party inquiries for relevant safety, emissions or other product regulatory or statutory deliverables, such as UL, CE, CSA mark coordinating with subject matter experts in engineering.
*Procedural compliance and process development experience with ISO 9001 and/or TL 9000 quality management system. Support internal audit and third party certification maintenance and improvement.
*Supports various product quality assurance functions including product assurance and engineering services maintaining effective working relationships with supplier and manufacturing quality, engineering, service, product management, operations.
*Familiarity with RoHS (II), REACH, CDP, Conflict Minerals or other regulatory, statutory or customer requirements highly desired.
Job Requirements
Essential qualifications:
*BS or equivalent in a technical field.
*Electrical engineering, semiconductor highly desired. Mechanical, software or other engineering discipline is acceptable.
*3 to 5 years of experience in managing quality assurance and or quality control in an OEM product line of similar complexity.
*CAPA expertise, 5-why, FMEA and other Six Sigma or TQM methodologies required.
*Knowledge or experience with manufacturing test development including data structure, mining and monitoring highly desired.
*Familiarity with ISO 9001, TL 9000, AS 9100, ISO 140001, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, UL, CSA, CE.
*Database or other tools to manage quality systems such as Agile, Oracle.
*Excellent teamwork, cross functional team work/ leading without authority and project experience required.

*6 Sigma, TQM or equivalent
