Java Solr Lucene Engineer needed for long term consulting project at Fortune 500 client company.

**Local candidates with local experience preferred**

Responsibilities:
Contribute to Solr Lucene Search Engine implementation, configuration and Java Development for high volume web applications. This position is a combination of Java Development and Solr Lucene Search implementation for new development.

Requirements:
•Minimum of 8 years of experience in a professional development environment
•5+ years of web application development experience, 3 + recent years with Solr Lucene Search
•Good Java Coding Experience
•A strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms is required
•Ability to develop new and innovative applications as well as maintaining existing code
•Strong experience with Core Java is required
•Demonstrated experience architecting, developing and deploying high-volume, multi-tiered, distributed applications is required
•Strong problem solving and debugging skills are required
•Relational database experience and demonstrated abilities in SQL and data modeling is required
•Experience with ORM products is required
•Experience with component based web application frameworks is required
•Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
•A desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
