Our latest award-winning addition to our product portfolio which will allow mobile traffic optimization solution cuts mobile app bandwidth consumption by 70 percent and signaling usage by 40 percent.
Our Firm develops innovative mobile software solutions that help Carriers and device manufacturers reduce the amount of traffic generated by mobile apps on wireless networks. Our platform delivers data from the cloud to smart phones in a way that is network efficient, providing immediate capacity and financial relief to Carriers faced with the exponential growth of mobile data.
The organization´s flagship applications, mobile email and IM, are in production in 14 languages and 70 countries, and support hundreds of device models on eight operating systems. We currently have 250 employees
Job Description
We are one of the known leaders in the development of performing mobile applications and mobile traffic optimization developers in the industry. We are seeking a phenomenally talented technical leader to serve as the System Architect for all aspects of software development.

The successful individual is a proven leader who can step in and provide technical leadership for a dynamic engineering team, deliver timely solutions to the market, and execute the challenging development activities on a comprehensive mobile product portfolio roadmap.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Engineering, the System Architect will work closely with members of the Engineering team and other functional leaders in the Company. The Architect must be able to integrate world class technical expertise to create cutting edge products directly in line with the overarching business strategy of the organziation. This person will provide technical oversight, leadership, and hands-on involvement throughout the product development lifecycle.
This person must keep abreast of and influence technology trends, standards, and stakeholders which will further enhance adoption and market share of our solutions. S/he should have the ability to bridge technology with business acumen and will bring experience in developing mobile software and mobile traffic optimization products.
S/he will assist the SVP of Engineering in developing and sustaining a culture of innovation and technical excellence that will make our company the place to be for anyone interested in developing leading-edge, next-generation mobile software and traffic optimization solutions.
The Software Architect's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ownership of the architecture of Software Development
• Serving as the focal point for conceptualizing, prototyping, designing, implementing and reviewing highly scalable distributed systems that can be deployed within carrier data centers as well as in the cloud.
• Serving as key consultant and liaison for the adoption of relevant technologies and platform best practices into product development.
· Personally contributing to the product development efforts by way of architecture/design documents and coding of select product components.
· Working very closely with the performance team to analyze operational data and identify algorithmic bugs and opportunities for enhancements.
· Working closely with Product Owner(s) to review and establish release requirements.

Job Requirements / Qualifications
The successful candidate will have both start-up and large company experience.
The qualifications should include:
• M.S or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 10+ years of relevant work experience; B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering with 15+ years of relevant work experience.
• Expert/Wizard level understanding and commercial development experience with the UNIX/Linux internals with an emphasis on TCP/IP Network programming (modules and sub-systems), multi-threading and distributed systems. Understanding of mobile network architectures – a big plus.
• Experience with large scale SQL/NoSQL systems - how and when to use them.
• Experience with BigData components (Hadoop, PIG, HIVE, etc.) highly desirable
• Strong coding skills and experience with C/C++ and/or Java and related frameworks and object-oriented programming techniques.
• Experience with Agile/Lean/XP methodologies applied to multi-tiered product development.
• Deep understanding and hands-on development experience with Internet protocols (e.g. HTTP, SSL/TLS, DNS, TCP/IP) is essential.
• Knowledge and working experience with HTTP Caching/Proxies and Web traffic acceleration techniques and technologies a plus.
• Experience in understanding large and complex code bases, including API design techniques to help keep them clean and maintainable.
• Experience designing backend systems that work well with M&M (Monitoring & Manageability) infrastructure.
• Excellent analytical skills in working with complex data sets.
