InterNiche Technologies has been developing and licensing TCP/IP, Security protocols and applications since the earliest days of the Internet and is looking to expand its Software Engineering department with a talented, focused developer interested in developing and enhancing our product portfolio. Our products are designed for portability, supportability and small resource requirements; they are written in "C" and adhere to RFC and interoperability specifications. Products based on InterNiche source code are in use in millions of fielded units and operate across a wide spectrum of operating environments and component architectures. Specifically, this developer will be responsible for ensuring that our customers have strong "starting points" for their own product development by providing ETHERNET DRIVERS, ENCRYPTION DRIVERS and OPERATING SYSTEM PORTS for a broad range of embedded microcontrollers and tool chain combinations.

Our ideal candidate will posses or desire to develop most the following skills:

* Device driver development experience (Ethernet preferred, though ´touching the hardware´ is of primary importance);
* Experience using development tools from multiple vendors;
* Experience with several operating system architectures and designs and possessing a firm understanding of preemptive RTOS operation as well as "big loop" designs;
* Solid grasp of resource locking, semaphore control and critical section concepts;
* Disciplined approach to balancing new development with intelligent re-use of existing components;
* Working familiarity with assembly language programming;
* Strong written communication skills and an ability to lead technical correspondence with our customers.
