Electric Cloud, a leading DevOps optimization company, is looking for a talented and experienced developer to join our industry leading ElectricAccelerator® team (http://www.electric-cloud.com/downloads/EC-WP_Scalable.pdf).
Reducing build times by as much as 20x, ElectricAccelerator enables private cloud computing by accurately executing parallel builds on a single desktop computer, utilizing our developer edition, or across scalable clusters of standard hardware. This is a complex product spanning technologies ranging from parsing, network communications, file system access optimization, multi-thread processing, complex scheduling, and much more.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this person will be responsible for the design and implementation of new variants of the ElectricAccelerator product. The ideal candidate will identify new application/product variants leveraging ElectricAccelerator's patented clustering and distributed file system technology. In addition, they will design and implement these features for use by large enterprise customers.
Essential Skills:
- 6+ years of software development experience
- Experience with Java/C++/J2EE/XML
- Experience with Maven Plug-ins
- Experience build system/SCM applications
- Experience with Apache Tomcat/Jetty/JBoss
- Experience with MySQL
- Experience with multi-tenant SAAS applications
- Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
- Ability to understand existing systems and fix as well as enhance such system
- Strong analytical and development skills
- Able to grasp new technologies quickly
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- BS degree in Computer Science is required
- Intellectual curiosity and self-motivated work style
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools like Hudson and Jenkins is a big plus.
- Experience with distributed file systems such as HDFS, Cassandra would be a big plus
- Experience with Linux kernel programming or Windows drivers is a big plus
