Brief Description
To participate in the full hands on management of the Saba's internal IT production systems & operations, fault resolution, capacity resource planning and root cause analysis. The Systems Administrator will work with IT operations team to define the standard operating systems configurations (including SW OS versions, packages and patch levels), management tools, automation, scripts, and operating processes.
Description
Manage Server Room
Manage Asset Inventory for all production servers
Train and mentor IT Operations team
Monitor system performance, resource mgmt., and capacity planning
Involve in all aspects of building and maintaining the production infrastructure and services
Ensure proper security, monitoring, alerts and reporting of IT operations
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Help drive the capacity planning process
Help develop and maintain processes, tools, and documentation in support of production
Participate in the evaluation Web apps, mobile, hardware, and infrastructure design
Qualifications
3 – 5 years' experience running and managing mission-critical Linux/MSFT production servers
Experience with Netbackup 7.5 for Windows and Unix platforms
Experience with off-site tape backups
Experience with Symantec EndPoint Protection Server, Blackberry Enterprise Server
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware)
Preferred experience Managing Exchange 2010
Experience with Disaster Recovery
Preferred proficiency with network design, provisioning and troubleshooting LAN/WAN operations
Ability to monitor and optimize production (MSFT, Linux, Financial, Database) Servers
Ability to write scripts (Bash, Perl etc.) to aid efficient server management preferred
Excellent communication, initiative and time management skills
NOTE:
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
