[KITlist-Tech] Stealth company looking for V-8 Powered Developer (Palo Alto, CA)

Please direct your responses to: kbretz@kbretz.com

Looking fr a Sr. Developer Position with exciting potential? We are a startup in Palo Alto, with plenty of money. Our goal is to revolutionize the green-tech space through a rather remarkable consumer device. Ex-apple guys. Too cool for school!! Our product is good for the world and the business model is awesome. The challenge is thrilling. The rewards are potentially HUGE. Funding is solid. Frankly, you will kick yourself if you don´t at least check us out. As one VC said: "If any other team told me they were going to build this device, I´d say they were crazy. But these guys will pull it off, I know they will. And when they do, the first thing people will say is "Why did it take so long for someone to invent this?"

About the Work
We are looking for a V-8 powered developer who has some of these languages in their toolkit: Scala, Python, Javascript., Someone who has a strong computer science background from a leading program as well as experience delivering consumer-facing, database driven web sites. We´re getting started with the following tools: Django, Node.js, and Scala/Netty.

About You
Your bag is writing code and you are known to write code that works, really works. You love consumer electronics because your mom can understand what you are working on and the rest of your family likes getting a discount on the hottest electronic toy out there. Your approach to fault tolerant code doesn´t involve superstition. You avoid premature optimization. You spend as much time writing tests as you do writing the implementation, and you tend to do both at the same time. You´re ready to work elbow deep with some the brightest engineers in consumer electronics and have a reputation for speaking plainly, for taking risks, for being creative, and for being secure enough in your intelligence to sometimes admit ignorance. You are a pillar of reliability and crave success.
