The highlights of the position are:
Job Title Software Engineer
Duties The candidate will develop a job management tool for Amazon aws/ec2. The tool drives the execution of various modules in a bioinformatics prim er design pipeline.
Skills Must be an expert in Java programming. Must be familiar with C++ programming. Must be fluent with Perl and Python programming. Must have been developing software under Unix/Linux environment for 3+ years. Familiar with workflows and pipelines concepts/models/implementation approaches. Familiar with Linux clustering and job schedulers PBS/SGE. Must have been developing commercial software for 7+ years. Familiar with database programming, entity modeling, schema creation and OR mapping. Familiar with Amazon AWS and basic bioinformatics knowledge a plus.
Must be a self quick starter and able to work with minimum supervision. Must be able to work and produce quality results under aggressive deadlines. Must be a team player and able to build on top of other people´ work. Must be a clear communicator.
Location: Foster City, CA
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
