Job Title: Senior/Principal Analog Hardware Engineer/ethernet device

Job Description:
Our client is a global ethernet access device company located in Fremont, CA. They are seeking a top-notch analog engineer with experience in both DSL and POTS equipment. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical expert with a minimum of 10 years related experience. He/she is able to build analog simulations in various versions of SPICE that provide very good guidance on how the real system will behave. Management experience is a nice-to-have, but technical expertise is paramount, as is the ability to be a strong team player and collaborator.
Specific Duties include:
Determines design approaches and parameters
Analyzes equipment to establish operating data
Conducts experimental tests and simulations and evaluates results for product development
Evaluates vendor capability, materials and techniques used to support product development
Collaborates with team on product roadmaps and throughout product development
Required Skills:
BS in Electrical Engineering (MS or PhD preferred)
Minimum 10 years hardware development experience for communication systems/telecommunications equipment
Experience with both DSL and POTS equipment
Must be able to build analog simulations in various versions of SPICE that provide guidance and predictability for product development
Understanding of R&D process and product development in general; hardware development in detail
Knowledge of telecommunications protocols: Ethernet, E1/T1, TDM
Analytical and detail orientated
Strong team player and collaborator with good interpersonal skills
Creative problem solver
Ability to excel in a dynamic environment
Occasional travel to Israel may be required
