Metadata is core to Rovi’s business. As the Product Manager for music, games, and books metadata, you will be leading a cross-functional team to drive the acquisition and integration of metadata into Rovi products and services. You will be expected to work in a highly collaborative manner with the worldwide Sales, Content, Data Operations and Engineering leadership teams.
As the Product Manager, you will need to work with Sales and customers to assess market needs, and guide products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting and tailoring our solutions to Rovi’s core market segments.
Your role will include championing/evangelizing new product development projects as needed. This may include managing the product definition process, working with internal department to develop the business plan for new products and working with Product Development or third party vendors to manage development and delivery.
MBA preferred
2-3 years of solid product management experience in Computer Software, B2B, B2B2C, Media/Internet, and Web 2.0/Web 3.0 types of products.
Analytical mind & strong problem-solving capabilities evidenced by a proven ability to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze product concepts, strategic opportunities and competitive threats.
Strong product/project management skills. Proven experience managing complex projects to successful completion.
