We are currently looking for talented Web Developers to join the team. The ideal candidate is either fresh out of school with a computer science/engineering degree and eager to learn or someone who has a few years of experience and wants to take on a new challenge at a fast growing high tech company. We will consider candidates of all experience levels as long as they have the right attitude and understand the fundamentals of web development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain and improve features of Aeria Games´ international web portal that serves millions of users from around the world.
- Keep the web portal in tune with the latest UI/UX trend, while keeping the content light, optimized and scalable.
- Utilize external web APIs and open-sourced libraries to speed up the development process.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years in developing consumer-facing, database-driven web applications.
- Very strong application design and development process.
- Strong skills either in JavaScript/DOM/Ajax with experience in libraries such as jQuery, MooTools or YUI, or in ActionScript/Flash with experience in libraries such as Tweener, as3corelib or Papervision3D.
- Strong skills in server-side scripts such as PHP, Python, Perl or Ruby in LAMP or similar environment.
- Experience using web application frameworks such as Drupal, Symphony, CakePHP, Ruby on Rails or Django.
- Familiarity in SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Cross-browser HTML/CSS/JavaScript coding skills including IE6 support.
- Very strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
- Flexibility to wear different hats in rapidly growing startup environment.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
