We currently have an opening for a Jr Systems Administrator.

Job Description:
This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations of IT systems and services including 24x7 data centers, remote access, MS Exchange, global messaging, backups, end-user support, security, and threat management. This position will proactively build, support and monitor 200+ Windows 2008/2003/2000, Linux, and Microsoft SQL 2008/2005/2000 server environments, as well as, desktops, laptops and workstations running Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000.

Skills:
•Set up and install Windows and Linux servers. Installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrade of Windows and Linux operating systems on multiple machines.
•Critical system status monitoring through trend analysis and capacity planning; establishing and monitoring critical check points, thresholds and criteria for management exception reporting.
•Anticipate potential issues; troubleshoot, research and resolve issues and problems associated with server performance, capacity issues, and other MS Exchange, Cisco and Windows-related issues.
•Use of expert knowledge to resolve highly complex or escalated infrastructure problems.
•Responsible for configuring and managing Citrix environment.
Maintain and administer network storage environments including SAN and NAS solutions.
•Configuration and security for local and remote users, upgrades, third party software, performance management, capacity planning and trend analysis.
•Establish detailed schedules and maximize utilization of all equipment in a 24x7x365 environment. Ensure that business critical data is backed up and properly sent off-site.
•Develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the server environment. Manage access and permission to ensure data confidentiality and integrity.
•Assist in the identification and evaluation of third party vendors, technology or processes for integration with company technology and equipment.
•Estimate tasks for project planning and sets timelines. Provide management and other team members clear and timely updates on status of designed responsibilities.
•Ensure that IT systems administration policies are documented, maintained and followed.
Follow development and implementation procedures, including the development and execution of test plans, change control, development of system documentation. Ensure high quality by participating in and following IT and industry best practices processes.

Experience:
•3-5 years experience as a Systems Administrator.
•3-5 years of hardware architecture, diagnostics, and troubleshooting experience on Dell, HP, IBM, Cisco, and EMC systems including ; Design, configuration and management of Windows 2008/2003/2000 AD Domain infrastructure including the ability to create and manage group policies; Installing, configuring, and management of Exchange 2007/2003 Server;
•3+ years experience with Backup Exec 12/11.x. Business Continuity and Disaster Recover experience a must; Blackberry Enterprise Server, McAfee Client Security, Symantec, MS SQL 2005/2000, IIS 6. System security and threat management experience a must.
•2+ years using desktop and server provisioning tools such as SMS, SCCM, Ghost, etc.
•1+ years of Linux experience a plus.
• Experience with Active Directory migrations, VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft OCS, and industry standard monitoring and remote management solutions a plus.

Education:
•MCSA or MCSE required.
•Minimum B.S. with a technical emphasis or equivalent.

•Experience working with remote and distributed teams across multiple time zones.
•Some national and international travel is required (Valid passport for travel to all countries required)
•Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
