Senior Performance Test Engineer

Full time/Contract to hire/Contract
This typically involves identifying the root cause of performance bottlenecks and working with the developers in prototyping performance improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze workload performance and scalability across a variety of hardware and software configurations
• Develop sound methodologies for accurate performance comparisons
• Performance Test Planning and Performance Test Design
• Study workload characteristics to create a balanced suite of performance workloads
• Work with developers to resolve performance problems, and implement solutions and performance optimizations
• Develop tools for understanding and comparing performance data
• Closely work with the development team to perform Whitebox and Non-Functional type of tests
Requirements/Skills
• 7+ years of experience
• Strong knowledge of system software development using Java and scripting with Perl OR Python
• Strong knowledge of Web protocols and technologies like HTTP, AJAX,
Knowledge of industry standard automation and performance tools like JMeter OR JUnit OR Selenium
• Experience in optimization, scalability, performance analysis and virtualization
• Strong analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Strong knowledge of Unix, Linux and system tools
• Experience with Whitebox testing of server side applications
