Job Title: - Windows System Admin

NGS Domain Architect/Weblogic Admin
Job Summary:
As the NetApp Global Support (NGS) Domain Architect, you will be responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of technical and application solutions to meet business requirements. This position reports to the NGS Technology Manager in the NetApp System Deployment and Domain Architecture organization. The NGS Domain Architect will drive the overall NGS Application architecture and technology for customer support applications. They will be responsible for technical decisions regarding configuration, integration, system administration, project support, instance strategy, upgrades, enhancements, release management, deployments, and support readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
-Define procedures, process, and tools for system builds, deployments, code migration, and integration across the entire NGS Application landscape.
- Application installation, configuration, standardization, load-balancing, high-availability configuration, deployments, migrations, and refreshes
-Design technical solutions and own key decisions to maximize the performance, uptime, and supportability of applications and technology platforms.
-Provide expert-level system analysis and problem resolution for NGS applications.
-Manage technical requirements, documentation, and deployment of custom development efforts for J2EE, Oracle WebLogic, and Web-based applications.
-Maintain comprehensive project, technical, and architectural documentation for enterprise systems.
-Manage capacity planning, landscape strategy, health checks, deployments, upgrades, patches
-Provide technical expertise within cross-functional teams in the design, planning, and deployment of enterprise business system solutions.
-Project resource coordination, level of effort estimations, requirement and sizing reviews

Technical Skills:
1. Expert level skills on Installation, Configuration, Administration of Weblogic Servers v8, v11 in solaris and Linux env.
2. Deployment of J2EE applications on Weblogic platforms
3. Application Migration from Weblogic 8x to 11x, web application to weblogic portal application
4. Deployment automation across the SDLC (Dev, Test, Stage, Production)
5. Expert level PERL, Ant, WLST scripting skills
6. Expert level troubleshooting of applications – must be able to look at the entire software stack for an application (Firewall, LB , SSO, Web, OS, App (weblogic), and DB) to identify and resolve issues related to –
• Stuck threads, thread synchronization,
• Memory (Garbage collection, memory leaks)
• Database connection pools, expensive queries sent via JDBC, memory leaks, open cursors
• Weblogic Server (Load balancing, crashes, hangs, )
• Deployment errors
• Authentication

7.Performance tuning –
. Hands-on experience of tuning parameters that impact weblogic applications across tiers, and adapting these across different environments
• Evaluate and improve load and Performance testing scenarios and their impact on application performance
• Deployment and use of performance monitoring tools across pre-production and production environments, and evaluate their impact on application performance.
• Configuring Monitoring and alerting (including creation of dashboards, identifying parameters to monitor and frequency of monitoring, enabling historical performance data collection etc.) – OEM 11g, RUEI, DomainHealth, Wily etc.

8. Apache web server installation / configuration and integration with SSO authentication tools (Oracle OIM/IDM) and providing relevant loadbalancer configuration for the application.
9. Strong infrastructure administration and design experience (Solaris Zones/Linux ESX container configuration /monitoring, Storage (filesystems/volumes, Network troubleshooting)
10.Communication Skills, Working with cross-functional teams, initiative, problem solving.
