Solutions Architect

This position requires a person to have strong technical and customer interaction skills. You will be involved in architectural consulting roles for specific customer engagements. As a senior solutions engineer or architect, you will be responsible for working with customers to gather and understand requirements, working with the solutions developers to define and create innovative API management solutions using Apigee products, investigating and resolving customer issues in Amazon EC2 environments or in our customers' on-premise environments.

Requirements:

• A career rooted in the foundation of middleware and enterprise integration.
• Hands-on server-side Java coding experience and experience with Eclipse.
• Hands-on Linux command line experience.
• Hands-on experience with XML including schemas and XSLT, and web services including SOAP and WSDL
• Hands-on experience with REST including best practices in design with XML and JSON.
• Hands-on experience in security standards such as SSL, plus awareness of OAuth.
• Hands-on experience in supplemental web technologies such as, PHP, HTML, JavaScript and Ruby on Rails is desirable.
• API application integration experience on the backend is desirable.
• Telco enterprise experience is a plus.
